Directions to U.S. Amateur Championship Spectator Parking
(Pinehurst Harness Track)

Complimentary shuttles will depart every 15 minutes to the US Amateur main entrance at the Resort Club

BY CAR 

• Follow U.S. #1 south from Raleigh.
• Take U.S. #1 South to Midland Road (Hwy 2 West) in Southern Pines.
• Turn right onto Midland Road and follow to traffic circle.
• When you enter the circle, take the third exit, which is Hwy. 2 west.
• Follow Hwy. 2 for approximately 1.4 miles and turn left at the traffic light onto Hwy. 5 South.
• Continue on Hwy 5 South for approximately ¾ of a mile and turn left into the Harness Track.

Directions from South Carolina, taking I-95 North

• Follow Interstate 95 North to the NC/SC border and to Hwy. 501 north.
• At the border take Hwy 501 north to Laurinburg, NC.
• At Laurinburg, take Hwy 15-501 north to Aberdeen, NC.
• Entering Aberdeen, at the second traffic light make a left turn onto Hwy 5 North
• Follow Hwy 5 North for approximately 5 miles.
• The Entrance to the Harness Traffic will be on your right after passing Monticello Drive. 

Directions from Virginia, taking I-95 South

• Follow interstate 95 south to Rocky Mount NC and exit onto N.C. 64 west. (Do NOT take U.S. 64 outside of Richmond)
• Take Hwy. 64 west to Raleigh and exit onto Interstate 440/Hwy. 64.
• Follow I-440/Hwy. 64 and exit onto U.S. #1 south to Sanford, NC and follow for approximately 40 miles.
• Exit onto Hwy. 15-501 south to "Pinehurst/Carthage."
• Proceed for 21 miles to the traffic circle in Pinehurst, and enter traffic circle from left lane.
• Take the second exit off which is Hwy. 2 west.
• Follow Hwy. 2 for approximately 1.4 miles and turn left at the traffic light on Hwy. 5.
• Continue on Hwy 5 for approximately ¾ of a mile and turn left into the Harness Track.

Directions from Charlotte, taking I-85 North

• Follow Interstate 85 north to Charlotte.
• Follow to Exit 42. (Hwy 49 north)
• Follow Hwy 49 north (20 miles) to Mt. Pleasant, NC
• Exit onto Hwy 73 east. Follow for 16 miles
• Turn left onto Hwy 24/27 east to Biscoe, NC
• Exit onto Hwy 220 south for 5 miles to Candor, NC
• Exit Hwy. 220 at the Pinehurst/Candor exit. (Hwy. 211)
• Turn left and follow Hwy. 211 east (20 miles) to Hwy. 5 in Pinehurst
• At the light turn right onto Hwy. 5 south.
• Follow Hwy 5 for approximately 1.5 miles and turn left into the Harness Track.

Directions from Chapel Hill, taking I-85 South

• Follow I-85 south to Chapel Hill.
• From Chapel Hill take Hwy. 15-501 to the traffic circle in Pinehurst.
• When you enter the circle, take the second exit, which is Hwy. 2 west.
• Follow Hwy. 2 for approximately 1.4 miles and turn left at the traffic light on Hwy. 5.
• Continue on Hwy 5 for approximately ¾ of a mile and turn left into the Harness Track (after passing Morganton Road intersection).

Directions from Greensboro, taking I-40 East

• Follow Interstate 40 east to Greensboro.
• When you arrive in Greensboro, exit onto Hwy. 220 south.
• Exit Hwy. 220 at the Pinehurst/Candor exit. (Hwy. 211)
• Turn left and follow Hwy. 211 east (20 miles) to Hwy. 5 in Pinehurst
• At the light turn right onto Hwy. 5 south.
• Follow Hwy 5 for approximately 1.5 miles and turn left into the Harness Track.
